2010 INTRODUCTIONS and previous intros.

2010 INTRODUCTIONS

ALL PLANTS WILL BE SOLD AS DOUBLE FANS (or larger!)

2010 Intro - ABBEY PURPLE (Bouman/Derrow - name pending)
(Round Midnight X Bela Lugosi)
Tetraploid, Semi-ev, early-mid season bloomer, 38" tall with 4 laterals, 35 buds, 6.5" blooms. Grown from a Michael Bouman seed, so we are introducing it together. Wonderful, sunfast color, the blooms sometime have a white outer edge on the petals.
Pod fertile about 15% of the time outdoors but much better in the greenhouse, good pollen - ABBEY PURPLE has given me some of the tallest, most well branched seedlings that I have in the garden.
$75 - limited

Scape on LUNAR EMPIRE taken outdoors in 2007

2010 intro - LUNAR EMPIRE (name pending)
(Moon Music X Supreme Empire)
Tetraploid, Dormant, early-mid season bloomer, 32" tall with 4 laterals, 35 buds, 5.5" blooms. Pod sterile outdoors - pod fertile about 50% of the time in the greenhouse, good pollen. LUNAR EMPIRE often reblooms in my garden. Here is a cultivar with a real 'southern face' on a plant that is hardy in a Zone 4 New York garden.
$100 - very limited
I'm sorry but as of 11/18/09, LUNAR EMPIRE is
SOLD OUT!

2010 Intro - LOCH LOMOND LILAC (name pending)
(Pearl Harbor x Shimmering Elegance)
Tetraploid, dormant, early-mid season bloomer, 32" tall with 3 laterals, 25 buds, 7" blooms, some rebloom in my garden.
This is a PRELUDE TO PANOPLY sib, but this one sets pods outdoors, has good pollen, and is an excellent parent, especially with purples and 'blue' eyed cultivars.
$75.00 - limited

2009 Intro - TOAST AND JAM
(Eye On America X Angel's Smile)
Tetraploid, Dormant, early-mid season bloomer, 22" tall (but close to 25" this past summer) with 3 laterals, 25 buds, 5.5" blooms. Easy pods , good pollen, excellent parent
$75.00 - limited

2008 Intro - PRELUDE TO PANOPLY
(Pearl Harbor X Shimmering Elegance)
Tetraploid, Dormant, early season bloomer, 34" tall, branching is either a top W with 2 laterals or a top Y with 3 laterals, 30 buds (but I've seen as many as 42), 6.5" blooms. Basically pod sterile indoors and out (I've managed to get about 30 seeds total in 6 years of trying), it has easy to use pollen, and is an absolutely wonderful parent.
$60.00

2007 Intro - PINK STRIPES
(Pink Brocade X Peppermint Parfait)
Diploid, Dormant, 32", 2 laterals, 26 buds (but it's a bud builder so you might get as many 36 buds on a scape), 7.5 inch blooms, easy pods and pollen. Many people report that PS reblooms in their garden. This is still the most dramatically striped daylily on the market and it passes the stripes on to a good percentage of the seedlings.  It also produces unique seedlings when crossed to 'blue' eyes.
$35 for a clump
